SPEED SKATE features the fastest young speed skaters in the U.S. and their trials and tribulations with their famous coach, Dong Sung Kim, an Olympic gold medalist from Korea. These young skaters — and their parents– devote an excess of time and money to their pursuit of making it to the Olympics. They believe Coach Kim could be their ticket there, until the relationship begins to sour.
